You spend the same as if a normal telephone line. I have an internet phone for about 4 years. No one would know it was an Internet phone when I told them.
Not all, if someone calls my phone number in your house, ring and cell phones simultaneously. Nobody needs to know that I am at home or traveling, if the claim of the day.
You can feel the speed-dialing through my voice mail services and the people that I call home, if I can miles away. Feature when you appeal to patients and somewhere else .. lol
Technically, it is still a fixed network.
