I am a serious amateur photographers will travel to photos, especially people and landscapes. So far, I have a Rinky Dinky $ 200 point and shoot camera, but I try to some degree in photography visit the school, we really need something much better. From what I researched so far seems a Nikon 40D or Canon 50D would be better. So, as a serious amateur who spend up to $ 1500 in most (with the glasses needed), what should I? I am also looking into the glasses and want a wide angle and with a great zoom. So all suggestions you can give me would be great!
